The Hagerty Huskies will take on the Colonial Grenadiers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hagerty knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully the Grenadiers like a good challenge.
Hagerty scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They put the hurt on Timber Creek with a sharp 101-77 victory. Hagerty has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matches by 20 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hagerty to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Douglass, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten assists. Douglass hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Asa Kohn, who scored 25 points along with eight assists and two blocks.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Colonial at home against the Storm on Friday as the squad secured a 79-50 victory. Given Colonial's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Storm are ranked 652nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hagerty's victory bumped their record up to 18-7. As for Colonial, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.
Hagerty couldn't quite finish off the Grenadiers in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 and fell 81-78. Can Hagerty avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
