Football Recap: Lake Forest Wins High-Profile Game Against Dover + How To Watch

Lake Forest faced Dover in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Spartans breezed past the Senators to the tune of 49-20. The Spartans' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Lake Forest had a senior duo take command as Jack Parson rushed for 110 yards and two TDs on only seven carries and Demarion Russ rushed for 107 yards and a pair of scores on only ten carries. Parson's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards. Isaiah Wright was another key player, rushing for 97 yards on only seven carries.

Lake Forest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 395 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 206 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Lake Forest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Keylund Bailey and Lamier Wright.

When it comes to explaining why Dover lost, don't look at Jayden Bunch. Despite the final result, he rushed for 132 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.

Lake Forest's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Dover, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Lake Forest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 35-13 win against Archmere Academy on the 27th. As for Dover, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 41-13 loss against Caravel Academy on the 26th.
