Continental has been on the road for three straight, but on Saturday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Pandora-Gilboa Rockets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Continental comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Continental suffered their biggest defeat since December 21, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 56-23 loss at the hands of Antwerp. While losing is never fun, Continental can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 740th, while Antwerp is ranked 358th).
Despite the defeat, Continental saw an underclassman step up: Olivia Crossgrove scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crossgrove has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Pandora-Gilboa was able to grind out a solid win over Elmwood on Thursday, taking the game 46-36. The win made it back-to-back wins for Pandora-Gilboa.
Continental's defeat was their 13th straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Pandora-Gilboa, their win bumped their record up to 6-10.
Continental strolled past Pandora-Gilboa when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 48-30. Does Continental have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pandora-Gilboa turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
