Vinny Gonzales was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Noah Hargrave, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Pleasant Grove's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lionel Williamson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Nathan Ruff was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds.
Elk Grove's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13. As for Pleasant Grove, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12.
Elk Grove will be playing at home against Davis Sr. at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Davis Sr. is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Pleasant Grove, they will head out on the road to square off against Franklin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Franklin has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 544 points over their last eight contests.
