When it comes to explaining why Wiregrass lost, one person who can't be blamed is Christian Miller. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. Miller hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Treadaway, who scored 11 points.
Evangel Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Bugnar, who scored 21 points. Another player making a difference was Zion Thompson, who scored 14 points.
Wiregrass has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season. As for Evangel Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 17-3.
Wiregrass will be playing at home against Ezekiel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ezekiel Academy is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Evangel Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Tuscaloosa Home Educators at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Jose Giron and Bugnar.
