Hapeville Charter has gone a perfect 6-0 against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Hornets will square off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
KIPP Atlanta Collegiate will be up against a hot Hapeville Charter squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Hornets' defense stepped up to hand Lovett a 21-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won three games by 21 points or more so far this season.
Keylan Pope had a dynamite game, throwing for 163 yards and three TDs, while also catching one score. Cedric Walker was Pope's top target, picking up 31 receiving yards and one touchdown, while also rushing for 53 yards.
Hapeville Charter was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 203 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, KIPP Atlanta Collegiate hadn't done well against Therrell recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way last Friday. The Warriors really took it to the Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up a 33-0 victory. The matchup marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season.
Hapeville Charter better keep an eye on Christopher Wilson. He was instrumental in KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's win, rushing for 146 yards and a pair of scores. They are 4-1 when Wilson posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Lawrence Moreland, who threw for 103 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 80% of his passes.
One reason for the win was KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. Therrell's QB won't forget Jared Earley anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Earley is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made seven or more in each of the last seven games he's played. Another thorn in Therrell's side was Yasin Harris, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made seven total tackles.
KIPP Atlanta Collegiate's record now sits at 5-3. As for Hapeville Charter, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Hapeville Charter took their win against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 45-25 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
