Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Howard). They claimed a resounding 58-22 win over the Westside Patriots. With the Huskies ahead 31-8 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Makayla Bridges and Nevaeh Glover certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Bridges posted six points, while Glover scored six points.

Howard's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-6. As for Westside, their loss was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Howard won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Northeast at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Howard has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Westside, they will be playing at home against Aquinas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westside is facing Aquinas at the right time seeing as Aquinas is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
