Wood River had lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 0-9 to make it 14. They fell just short of the Minico Spartans by a score of 10-9. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Wolverines' highest-scoring game to date.
Raul Rojas and Patrick Hebert did some serious damage despite the final result: Rojas got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double, while Hebert went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
