After a string of nine wins, the Rockwell Marshals's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a serious blow against American Prep WV, falling 88-61. Rockwell has not had much luck with American Prep WV recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Marshals players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Roman Haueter, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 rebounds. Haueter hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaysen Rife, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Rockwell's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5. As for American Prep WV, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rockwell will face off against Milford at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Milford focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Thursday. As for American Prep WV, they will head out on the road to square off against Merit Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Merit Preparatory Academy is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak.
