Tonopah has won three straight games at home, while Spring Mountain has won three straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Muckers will welcome the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Tonopah 11.3, Spring Mountain 11) so any points scored will be well earned.
Tonopah is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Pahranagat Valley, who was ranked third at the time (Tonopah was ranked first). The Muckers came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 26-16 last Friday. The 26-point effort marked the Muckers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Dustin Otteson
| 09/26/25 @ Pahranagat Valley | 275 |
| 09/19/25 @ Indian Springs | 142 |
| 09/12/25 vs Beatty | 116 |
| 09/05/25 vs Eureka | 215 |
| 08/29/25 vs Laughlin | 359 |
It was another big night for Dustin Otteson, who rushed for 275 yards and three TDs while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also threw for 132 yards on only nine passes. Otteson is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 116 every time he's taken the field this season. Adelaido Salgado was another key player, picking up 75 receiving yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tonopah was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 269 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Tonopah's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Landen Blackburn with two.
Meanwhile, Spring Mountain took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 64-6 victory over Non Varsity Opponent. Considering the Eagles have won four games by more than 55 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Tonopah's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Spring Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-0.
Everything came up roses for Tonopah against Spring Mountain in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 34-6 win. Do the Muckers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
