Jackson Academy stacked a 17th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 80-48 win over Madison Central. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-15.
It was another big night for Mike Williams, who scored 24 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Mason Williams, who scored 11 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Presbyterian Christian faced St. Joseph Catholic in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Presbyterian Christian fell 67-54 to St. Joseph Catholic on Wednesday.
Jackson Academy's victory bumped their record up to 24-1. As for Presbyterian Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 20-5.
Jackson Academy came up short against Presbyterian Christian in their previous matchup back in January of 2022, falling 66-53. Can Jackson Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
