The Flint Hill Huskies had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against Maret by a score of 47-37. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Caleb West was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 307 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Ty Harris also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Flint Hill's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Maret, their loss dropped their record down to 8-1.
Flint Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against St. James at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. St. James will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 87th in Maryland, while Flint Hill is ranked 18th in Virginia). Maret does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
