Central Woodstock was the  20-12 winner over Broadway when they last played one another  back in September of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell  26-13 to the Gobblers on Friday. The loss put an end to the Falcons' undefeated start to the season.
 Despite the  defeat, Central Woodstock had strong showings from  Chris Brown, who rushed for 122 yards and one  TD, and  Sean Stead, who rushed for 53 yards.
 Broadway's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Tanner Hinkle, who threw for 123 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 79 yards.  Landon Fox helped out on the ground, rushing for 104 yards and a  rushing touchdown.
Having lost for the first time  this season, Central Woodstock  fell to 2-1. As for Broadway, the  victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Woodstock will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Hagerstown at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 26th. As for Broadway, they will venture away from home to  face off against Spotswood  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The  matchup will  give the Gobblers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
