Basketball Game Preview: Starmount Rams vs. Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans

The Starmount Rams will take on the Triad Baptist Christian Academy Titans in a tournament on Friday. The timing isn't great for Starmount: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Triad Baptist Christian Academy has snatched up 13 consecutive wins on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Starmount took a blow against North Davidson, falling 79-46. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 596th, while the Black Knights are ranked 279th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Colton Allen, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryley Rodriguez, who posted 14 points.

Meanwhile, Triad Baptist Christian Academy strolled past Tabernacle Christian with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 63-47.

Triad Baptist Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Starmount, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
