The Santiago Sharks can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 55-6 victory over Corona. The victory was just what Santiago needed coming off of a 42-21 defeat in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Santiago to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Kurtz, who rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown. Kurtz really tore up the turf during one magnificent 97-yard run. Another player making a difference was Cole Bracken, who rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Santiago's win bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Corona, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 4-6.
Santiago does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Corona also has no future games currently scheduled.
