Basketball Recap: Delmarva Christian Beats Nandua for Their Third Straight Victory

Delmarva Christian had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Nandua Warriors as they made off with a 63-39 victory. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-16.

Delmarva Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but D J Liles led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Light, who posted 14 points and four steals.

Delmarva Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Nandua, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Delmarva Christian will challenge Salisbury Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Delmarva Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season. As for Nandua, they will venture away from home to challenge Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nandua is facing Poquoson at the right time seeing as Poquoson is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
