Softball Recap: Lac Qui Parle Valley Has No Trouble Against Dawson-Boyd

Lac qui Parle Valley barely beat Dawson-Boyd the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Blackjacks on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six contests by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Lac qui Parle Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Dawson-Boyd, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Lac qui Parle Valley will square off against rival Yellow Medicine East at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.4, the Sting 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Dawson-Boyd is set to take on their familiar foe Renville County West at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
