On Friday, the Valencia Jaguars's game was all tied up 26-26 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 53-40 victory over St. Michael's. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Valencia.
Valencia can attribute much of their success to Damian Estrada, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Estrada has scored at least 25% of Valencia's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Porter, who scored 14 points.
Valencia's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for St. Michael's, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Valencia will square off against Academy for Technology and The Classics at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Michael's, they will head out on the road to face off against Los Alamos at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
