Jonathan Hughes posted a new career-high in RBI on Monday. He went 1-for-2 with six RBI, one run, and one double, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He also tossed an earned run, which is notable because East Nashville Magnet is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 5-6 otherwise.

Hughes' strong effort led East Nashville Magnet over Stratford and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles are a perfect 10-0 against the Spartans going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
