The Bryan Golden Bears are taking a road trip to square off against the Hicksville Aces at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bryan's pitching crew has only allowed 1.6 runs per game this season, so Hicksville's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Bryan is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since May 31, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Wauseon 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Bears in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

Thea Staten spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Bryan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amiyah Langham, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Hicksville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the Pirates get on the board and left with a 5-0 win.
Not much got past Kennedy Adams, who gave up just three hits to keep Continental off the board.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Evy McAlexander, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenna Baird, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Bryan's record is now 12-4. As for Hicksville, their record now sits at 9-11.
Hicksville's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Bryan has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 13.5 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Hicksville, though, as they've been averaging only 4.2 strikeouts. Will Bryan keep running through batters, or will the Aces buck the trend?
Everything went Bryan's way against Hicksville in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Bryan made off with a 9-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
