Presidio and Kermit are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Presidio Blue Devils are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Kermit Yellow Jackets at 12:30 p.m. on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Presidio is ranked 840th, while Kermit is ranked 837th).
Presidio has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 21 points or more this season. They were the clear victor by a 51-30 margin over Compass Academy.
Meanwhile, Kermit was able to grind out a solid win over Stanton on Tuesday, taking the game 55-43. The win made it back-to-back wins for Kermit.
Kermit's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zeke Espino led the charge by scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds. Espino is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaden Bejarano, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
Presidio now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Kermit, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5.
Presidio beat Kermit 39-27 in their previous meeting back in February. Will Presidio repeat their success, or does Kermit have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
