After both having extra time off, the Thunder Ridge Titans and the Rocky Mountain Grizzlies will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:30 p.m. on December 28th. Thunder Ridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 85th, while Rocky Mountain is ranked tenth).
Thunder Ridge fought the good fight in their overtime match against Blackfoot last Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 47-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos.
Meanwhile, Rocky Mountain entered their tilt with Mountain View with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Rocky Mountain blew past Mountain View 66-22 at home. The result was nothing new for Rocky Mountain, who have now won four matches by 23 points or more so far this season.
Thunder Ridge bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Rocky Mountain, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Thunder Ridge couldn't quite finish off Rocky Mountain when the teams last played back in February and fell 55-52. Can Thunder Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
