Baseball Recap: St. Michael the Archangel Has No Trouble Against Barstow

St. Michael the Archangel never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past the Barstow Knights 10-0. The Guardians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by seven runs or more this season.

Colston Lyon and Maverick Cure did most of the damage at the plate: Lyon scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Cure scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Henry Miller, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

The win made it two in a row for St. Michael the Archangel and bumps their season record up to 6-3. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Barstow, they dropped their record down to 0-7 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

St. Michael the Archangel will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Knights: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
