Softball Recap: West Union Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

West Union got themselves on the board against Senatobia on Saturday, but Senatobia never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 10-0 win. Considering the Eagles have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the fourth in a row for West Union, bringing their record up to 14-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Senatobia, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.

Looking ahead, West Union will be playing in front of their home fans against Byers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Senatobia, they will welcome Strayhorn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.07 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
