The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs will face off against the Logan Grizzlies at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Crimson Cliffs comes in on eight and Logan on six.
Crimson Cliffs is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Pine View as they made off with an 11-1 victory. 11 seems to be a good number for the Mustangs as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Nyah Snyder was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Maylee Dunkley was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Crimson Cliffs lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pine View didn't launched any home runs.
Meanwhile, Logan made easy work of Layton on Monday and carried off a 14-1 victory. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by six runs or more this season.
Cambree Cooper made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Taryn Craner was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jayzanna Pauni, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.
Crimson Cliffs' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Logan, their record now sits at 17-11.
