After a string of five wins, the Lamar Texans's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. The contest between them and Bellaire wasn't particularly close, with Lamar falling 49-32. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lamar has scored all season.
It was another big night for Shelton Henderson, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds for Bellaire. Henderson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. Anthony Andrews was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 14 rebounds and two steals.
Lamar's loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-12. As for Bellaire, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 23 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-6 record this season.
Lamar does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bellaire also has no future games currently scheduled.
