The ALA - Mesa North Mavericks will challenge the Globe Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. ALA - Mesa North is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
ALA - Mesa North gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Coolidge 5-4.

Josh Vasquez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because ALA - Mesa North is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-6 otherwise. Vasquez was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ace Stinnett, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Roman Eagleston was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Meanwhile, Globe got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They blew past Apache Junction 9-2. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Like ALA - Mesa North, Globe also got a great game from a two-way player: Sir Sneezy. He struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Sneezy has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Braden Wager was excellent, going 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Daniel Ramos, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Globe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apache Junction only posted a batting average of .240.
Globe's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for ALA - Mesa North, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 5-7.
