The Paradise Panthers will face off against the Lipan Indians at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Paradise's pitching crew has only allowed 1.9 runs per game this season, so Lipan's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
It was a proper cat-fight when Paradise took on Kaufman on Saturday. Paradise came out on top against Kaufman by a score of 7-4.
McKenna Snyder was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up four earned runs off only two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. She also put up a double, which washer first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Limbaugh, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she's launched this season.
Meanwhile, Lipan had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against Albany on Monday as Lipan made off with a 9-1 win.
Like Paradise, Lipan also got a great game from a two-way player: Ella Sharp. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Sharp was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Addison Tarpley was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Dakota Freeman, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Paradise's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Lipan, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Paradise couldn't quite finish off Lipan when the teams last played back in February of 2024 and fell 7-5. Can Paradise avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
