Jefferson has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Three Forks Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Jefferson has not done well against Sweet Grass County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Jefferson sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 46-44 victory over Sweet Grass County.
Jefferson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from MacKenzie Layng, who scored 21 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Layng has scored at least 25% of Jefferson's points. Ryian Eveland was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Meanwhile, Three Forks got the win against Cut Bank on Saturday by a conclusive 51-31. The win made it back-to-back wins for Three Forks.
The win got Jefferson back to even at 1-1. As for Three Forks, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
Jefferson strolled past Three Forks when the teams last played back in February by a score of 44-29. Will Jefferson repeat their success, or does Three Forks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
