Parker Marks was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy got a massive performance out of Benton Bruner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Bruner has become a key player for the Tigers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-12 otherwise. Aiden Nguyen was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Thomas Jefferson didn't have quite enough to beat Archbishop Shaw on Saturday and fell 4-3. Thomas Jefferson has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brayden Marvin made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs.
Thomas Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.
