Ozarks recap Sept. 26, 2012
Parkview extended the longest winning streak in Ozarks this week by beating Camdenton, 35-28. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Vikings.
Hillcrest and Lebanon played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Hillcrest eventually emerging with a 43-40 victory.
Parkview's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Landan Ruff threw for 165 and two touchdowns and Connor Ratcliff had 132 yards receiving. On the ground Cole Jenkins chipped in 154 yards. Hunter Steinmetz helped Parkview's passing attack out by catching one ball for 12 yards.
Anthony Hays's team's Ruff and Ratcliff have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ruff has thrown for 604 yards this season, while Ratcliff has 23 catches for 336 yards. The Yellowjackets' Brock West leads the league in rushing yards with 949.
Lebanon's West is a mere 51 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
A big matchup in Ozarks this week will be when Kickapoo takes on the Hornets. At the moment, the Chiefs are in fourth, while Hillcrest is in second.
John Beckham's team led the league in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on Will Christian's team.
