Bullock County fell to Beauregard 53-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Charles Henderson and Tallassee played the most contested game in 4A Region 2 this week, with Charles Henderson eventually emerging with a 26-21 victory.
Alabama Christian Academy's dynamic duo of Chandler Taylor and Hudson Pugh proved to be unstoppable against Ashford, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Taylor threw for 356 yards and 3 touchdowns and Pugh had 167 yards receiving. David Elston helped Alabama Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 101 yards.
The Eagles' dynamic duo of Taylor and Pugh proved tough for the Yellowjackets to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
He was 15-33 with 1 interceptions.
Chris Jennings was a key player and the best on defense this week as Alabama Christian Academy fell to Ashford. The 6-foot-0 junior.
Frank Moody was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 186 yards on 28 carries as St. James lost to the Yellowjackets. Teammate Jonathan Robinson added to the ground attack by rushing for 132 yards.
Pugh was the best wideout in the league this week as the Eagles lost to Ashford.
Taylor put up the best numbers through the air as Alabama Christian Academy lost to the Yellowjackets.
Leading 4A Region 2 in both passing and receiving yards, the Eagles' Taylor and Elston have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Taylor has thrown for 1,031 yards this season, while Elston has 15 catches for 337 yards. The Trojans' Moody leads the league in rushing yards with 393.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Ashford takes on the Hornets. At the moment, the Yellowjackets are in fourth, while Beauregard is in third.
Smitty Grider's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 53 points on the Hornets. Walker Meadows threw for 160 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 11 yards in the win.
