This season hasn't been kind to the Northwestern Wildcats, who are still winless after their 12th matchup. They took a 56-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Iroquois on Friday. Northwestern was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Iroquois apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Orlando Brown was his usual excellent self, scoring nine points along with six steals and five rebounds for Iroquois. Another player making a difference was Kellen Burroughs, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds.
Northwestern's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Iroquois, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northwestern will take on Mercyhurst Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Iroquois, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Girard at 7:30 p.m. Girard will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
