The Oakcrest Falcons will challenge the Atlantic City Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Oakcrest's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Bridgeton 18-0. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Dakota Miranda made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single hit, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Delaney Mason, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI. Chrystal Williams was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Atlantic City got the win against Wildwood Catholic on Monday by a conclusive 15-5. That's two games straight that the Vikings have won by exactly ten runs.
Like Oakcrest, Atlantic City also got a great game from a two-way player: Nelly Sosa. She struck out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Sosa was also big at the plate, scoring five runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Kayla Barrie was excellent, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with three RBI. Another player making a difference was Jojo Mejia, who scored a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Atlantic City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .585. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wildwood Catholic only posted an OBP of .407.
Atlantic City has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8 runs this season. As for Oakcrest, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
