East Moline United is a perfect 10-0 against Alleman since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will challenge the Pioneers at 4:30 p.m. East Moline United is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.
If East Moline United beats Alleman with nine runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Panthers beat Moline on Tuesday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-8. The victory was nothing new for the Panthers as they're now sitting on three straight.
Samantha Verstraete made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Chloe Ledford was incredible, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Miah Berhenke was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one run.
Alleman not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 14th (when they won 14-3). They blew past Galesburg 10-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Pioneers considering their two-run performance the contest before.
The team relied heavily on Rhylee McMeekan, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Kendall Possin also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Alleman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
East Moline United's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games. As for Alleman, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-19.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. East Moline United hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .335. However, it's not like Alleman struggles in that department as they've averaged .322. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went East Moline United's way against Alleman in their previous matchup back in April, as East Moline United made off with an 11-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
