The Alva Goldbugs put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 42-41 victory over Jones. For Alva, this counts as revenge for the 55-30 defeat Jones walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alva to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carly Argo, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Lakin Gaddy, who scored 9 points.
Alva's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Jones, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Alva will square off against Seiling at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jones, they will be playing at home against Washington at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
