Softball Recap: Moody Drops Highest Score of Season Against Ramsay

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Moody). Everything went their way against the Ramsay Rams on Monday as they made off with a 20-3 win. Considering the Blue Devils have won 17 contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Abi Gray was a standout: she scored three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Taylor Rogers was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Moody always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ramsay only posted an OBP of .353.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Moody, bringing their record up to 26-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Ramsay, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moody will venture away from home to challenge Hewitt-Trussville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ramsay, they will challenge Leeds at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Greenwave have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
