The Parkersburg Catholic Crusaders won against the Tyler Knights on Wednesday with 64 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Parkersburg Catholic strolled past Tyler with points to spare, taking the game 64-50. Parkersburg Catholic's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
When it comes to explaining why Tyler lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jules Lattea. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Lattea scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Katie Grimm, who scored 15 points.
Parkersburg Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Tyler, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkersburg Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet Ravenswood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tyler will be home for the holidays to greet Cameron at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in West Virginia (Cameron is ranked 60th, while Tyler is ranked 69th).
