The Tamarac Bengals had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They secured a 62-57 W over Cambridge on Wednesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Leading Tamarac to victory were Adam Rice and Kamerin Edmonds. Rice scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks, while Edmonds scored 25 points along with eight steals and six assists. That's the first time this season that Rice posted two or more blocks. Jacob Price was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two blocks.
Despite the loss, Cambridge saw an underclassman step up: Luke MacDougall scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Tully Mahar, who scored ten points.
Tamarac's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Cambridge, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tamarac will square off against Stillwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stillwater knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully Tamarac likes a good challenge. As for Cambridge, they will head out on the road to take on Salem at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
