The Westfield Bulldogs will be playing at home against the South Lakes Seahawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westfield will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Seahawks are ranked 11th).
Westfield unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a hard 61-47 fall against James Madison.
Westfield's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jemon Price, who scored 16 points, and William Robinson who scored 16 points. Robinson has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathias Lee, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, South Lakes stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Centreville 68-38 at home. Winning may never get old, but South Lakes sure is getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Westfield's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for South Lakes, their win was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2.
Westfield was taken down by the Seahawks 85-31 when the teams last played back in January. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Westfield was down 49-19.
