Westlake is 7-0 against the Cavaliers since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Westlake Wolverines will head out on the road to take on the Calvert Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. Calvert took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Westlake, who comes in off a win.
On Wednesday, Westlake didn't have too much trouble with the Patriots at home as they won 61-46.
It was another big night for Darian Canty, who scored 29 points along with four steals. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Darius Kemper, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Calvert's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 58-45 to Huntingtown.
Westlake's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Calvert, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15.
Westlake beat the Cavaliers 69-58 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westlake since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
