It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the New Palestine Dragons had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 39-6 victory over Mooresville. The victory was familiar territory for New Palestine who now have 11 in a row.
Grayson Thomas was a one-man wrecking crew for New Palestine as he rushed for 137 yards and five touchdowns. Thomas has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Haines, who rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown.
New Palestine has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 11-2 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32 points. As for Mooresville, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
New Palestine will head out on the road to face off against East Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Central is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Mooresville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
