Despite the defeat, Lawrence County saw an underclassman step up: freshman Eli Mitchell rushed for 96 yards and one TD on only ten carries. Mitchell got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 61 yards. Tavian Jones helped out on the ground, rushing for 97 yards.
