The Box Elder Bees entered their tilt with the Roy Royals with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Box Elder strolled past Roy with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 43-27. Given Box Elder's advantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 23rd, while Roy is ranked 92nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Kaydence Barber was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Another player making a difference was Kamri Andersen, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Nicole Williams and Rihanna Jones certainly did their best on Wednesday to try and avoid the loss. Williams scored nine points along with seven rebounds, while Jones scored six points along with five rebounds.
Box Elder's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-4. As for Roy, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Box Elder will be playing at home against Bountiful at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Bountiful is coming into the match hot, having won their last nine games. As for Roy, they will head out on the road to challenge Viewmont at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Viewmont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Wednesday.
