Basketball Recap: Yuma Skates Past Kofa with Ease

There's no place like home for Yuma, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They blew past the Kofa Kings, posting a 46-17 victory. This was payback for the Criminals, who suffered a 51-39 loss the last time these two teams met.

Yuma's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Heaven Hawkins, who posted six points and nine steals. Hawkins is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Legend Redmond, who earned ten points along with six steals and five boards.

Kofa's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Michelle Noriega, who had two points in addition to eight rebounds, four blocks, and three steals.

Yuma now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Kofa, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
