Softball Recap: Hanover Area's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Hanover Area made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Greater Nanticoke Area, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Hawkeyes put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 11-4 victory on Wednesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hawkeyes as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hanover Area will challenge Wyoming Valley West at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. The Hawkeyes are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Greater Nanticoke Area, they will face off against MMI Preparatory School at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
