Given Hoisington's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while Lyons is ranked 306th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Hoisington's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kylee Hahn led the charge by scoring 13 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Crawford, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Hoisington's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Lyons, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15-1.
Hoisington will be playing in front of their home fans against Larned at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoisington is coming into the game with three straight victories at home, so Larned is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Lyons, they will head out on the road to face off against Halstead at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Halstead's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home while Lyons has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
