Augusta Prep Day moved up to 393 from 422 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Glory For Christ - East. Augusta Prep Day was able to make the jump by besting Anderson Cavaliers 24-21.
Harry Bacheller's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 10,863 from 12,172. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 24-21 victory over the Cavaliers last week.
East Atlanta's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kevin Ard threw for 93 and one touchdown and Daventa Adams had 48 yards receiving. On the ground Daniel Compton chipped in 42 yards. Garrett Ferguson helped East Atlanta's passing attack out by catching two balls for 45 yards.
Anderson Cavaliers' Davis Cousar and Danny Waldsmith have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cousar has thrown for 779 yards this season, while Waldsmith has 15 catches for 266 yards. Georgia Force's Darius Williams leads the league in rushing yards with 579.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Michael Cousar's team takes on the Blue Knights. The Cavaliers are currently in third, while Georgia Force is in first.
There should be lots of points scored when Anderson Cavaliers and Steve Riley's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Cavaliers comes in having scored 204 this season, while the Blue Knights have scored 203. Anderson Cavaliers scored 21 points last week as it lost to Augusta Prep Day.
The Cavaliers fell 24-21 to Augusta Prep Day in the closest game of the week.
