Given Conemaugh Valley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while United is ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Conemaugh Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaylen Henry led the charge by scoring 20 points along with two steals. Henry continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Percinsky, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 16 rebounds.
Conemaugh Valley is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. As for United, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Conemaugh Valley will be playing in front of their home fans against Cambria Heights at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for United, they will head out on the road to challenge Conemaugh Township at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
