Glenwood faced Normal University in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Titans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Glenwood might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Normal University: every set was decided by exactly two points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 25-23.

Despite the loss, Glenwood still got an impressive performance from Reagan Littrell, who had 15 digs and one assist. Lyla Badman also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Glenwood's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 23-4. As for Normal University, they pushed their record up to 30-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Glenwood will venture away from home to challenge Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Normal University, they will head out to take on Metamora at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
